So I just realized my last post was eight months ago. Yikes!
A lot of you have asked why I stopped blogging and I think it’s only right that I explain.
Blogging has taken a backseat the past few months because I’ve been creating the spring 2016 issue of my college’s magazine. As editor-in-chief of my school’s newspaper and magazine my time has been consumed by all things student-media related.
Creating this magazine hasn’t been easy but I’ve had the best time and it’s an experience that I will never forget.
The magazine is one of the largest issues to be published at my school and for that I am proud. In addition, over 5,000 copies were printed and the response to this issue has been insanely amazing!
My favorite part about creating this magazine was getting the opportunity to tell people’s stories. I think that’s why I love journalism because you’re constantly learning new things and that never gets old.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that everything happens for a reason. I never want to settle especially if I know that something can be better but I also had to learn to let go. By me doing so, I realized that everything was working out the way it was meant to.
In the magazine you’ll learn about two brothers who don’t have a Plan B because they know they can make their Plan A work, a blind golfer who’s going for gold at the 2016 Special Olympics, a fashion photographer who loves to take risk and push the envelope and well the list keeps going.
Instead of me ranting about my love for this magazine, I’ll just let you see the online version here (or below).
I’m officially back to blogging and new posts will be coming soon.
