I can’t believe we’re three weeks into September! Seriously, where has the time gone?!
Recently I was asked why Fall is one of my favorite seasons, and it really got me thinking. Of course, fashion plays a part (and I promise we’ll come back to this), but it’s more than just fashion for me.
Fall is about moments.
It’s the moment when the clocks go back. Suddenly, the mornings are mellow and the golden amber and scarlet colored leaves that linger on trees begin to grace the ground.
The evenings are cool, Frank Sinatra’s “Fly Me To The Moon” is usually playing in the background, and I’m most likely dancing around in a onesie.
Finding a Fall fashion moment can be a little tricky in LA. Mainly because I can’t go out in full Fall layers when it’s 75 degrees and sunny outside. But being the fashionista that I am, I crave the moments when I can layer up.
For now, I will rock my sleeveless shirts with my suede heels as I traipse through the first scattering of leaves on the sidewalks.
As much as I want LA to have a real Fall, as a native, I know that summer is never really over.
However, this is the time to embrace transitions and juxtapositions, because that’s all life really is when you think about it. So wear your tank with boots or your sweater with shorts. It’s a time where we can have our cake and eat it too. So let’s get seconds, LA!
I want to know what your favorite fall style is, so shoot me an email or drop a comment below!
All my love and stay fabulous,
