This past Saturday, I had the pleasure of being Long Tall Sally’s special guest at their Los Angeles pop-up shop. I had the opportunity to meet and bond with so many amazing, tall and fabulous women.
The day was filled with smiles and high-fives when the jeans were long enough, the exchange of our past failed shopping adventures, and trying to make it to the register with as many jeans as we could carry.
This pop-up was a sanctuary for tall women. It was a place where we could be completely comfortable with who we are, shop without the fear of “is this long enough?” and an opportunity to meet those who shared a commonality.
It’s rare to find a place that celebrates difference. I think when you have something that makes you different (i.e height) you do one of two things: you either try to make other people comfortable with your difference, by making yourself smaller, or you completely own it.
I believe that through style we show the world who we are, and personally, I think that it’s amazing what Long Tall Sally has done. LTS has made it possible for tall women to feel confident, comfortable and fabulous in what they’re wearing, and that in turn, it allows them to be the queens they truly are.
All the ladies at the pop-up were so beautiful inside and out, and I want to thank you for making me feel so welcomed. My hope for tall women is that you own your difference and celebrate it every day. So, let’s continue to love our “height” and our “heels.”
All my love and stay fabulous,
P.s. outfit details are in the next post!
